Repowered Engines Offer Huge Savings

Skip New Car Payments to Help Your Household Finances

Dear Editor,

In these difficult economic times, few people realize the savings provided by repowering their vehicle with a rebuilt - remanufactured engine. When faced with serious engine repair or replacement, repowering adds years of reliable life to the vehicle’s engine and saves the cost of monthly car payments, which average $479 per month according to Edmonds.com.  Over four years, that savings adds up to $22,992.

Keeping a vehicle running is not a discretionary purchase for most people today - especially with two working spouses in most families. They must have reliable transportation to get to work and run the array of errands faced by working families.  And, by avoiding expensive new or used car payments, a vehicle with a rebuilt - remanufactured engine provides extra money to help with other bills.

With repowering, a worn out engine or an identical one from another like-vehicle, is completely disassembled, cleaned, machined and rebuilt - remanufactured.  Unlike a used or junk yard engine with an unknown performance and maintenance history, a repowered engine is dependable, reliable and backed by excellent warranty programs.

Installing a rebuilt - remanufactured engine will also help save money at the gas pump.  In fact, 75 percent of drivers are better maintaining their current vehicles due to higher gas prices, according to a study by the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association.  Those taking extra steps to care for their vehicle make engine repowering a smart choice that will protect the value of their asset, extend its life and save money in the long run.

In addition to its financial benefits, engine repowering emits fewer pollutants and saves the tremendous amount of energy used in processing discarded engines and vehicles, as well as an incredible amount of raw materials that would have been used in building a new engine.
