1934 Plymouth Sedan |
|

Owners: Gayle and Kenny Coolley
Location: Centralia, MO
“You gotta drive ‘em,” says Kenny Coolley of his pristine 1934 Plymouth Sedan. And he and his wife, Gayle, do. The Centralia, MO couple has driven their “Woodie” to Vermont, Colorado and Florida. Actually there never was a 1934 Plymouth Sedan Woodie but brother-in-law Gary Chandler did the carpentry on this distinguished vehicle, making it a one-of-a kind. When the Coolleys acquired their ’34 Plymouth it had a “tired” 327 ci Chevy engine and a 350 transmission. The car was refurbished with a remanufactured 350 TPI engine and a remanufactured 700 R4 transmission and it has a Mustang II front end. Finished beautifully with new wheels, tires, cruise control and seats, the Coolleys also drive their classic to National Street Rod and Goodyguy events, local car shows and cruises. “We get lots of ‘thumbs up’ along the way,” they report.
